Studied information technology and computer science before committing to graphic design.
I received a Bachelors of Fine Arts from Eastern Michigan University. Worked at EMU's Campus Life department while a student. Main responsibilities included designing promotional materials for EMU Campus Life, university events, and EMU departments. Before graduating I began working for Direct Incorporation in Ann Arbor. Immediately after graduation I was promoted to head of their design department. While at Direct Inc. I have honed my image making skill, independently developed my coding skill-set, and evolved their design department. I use freelance and independent design to explore and experiment. I gravitate towards minimalist and constructivist design but am capable of emulating any style. Major design influences range from Saul Bass and El Lissitzky to Olly Moss and Shepard Fairey.
